Every story starts from an official feed. This register lists each feed we read, what it covers, and whether it is active.

How items are chosen
A feed item is kept only if it matches the topic we cover. Items that do not match are discarded before a person reviews anything. Every kept item still needs human review before it becomes a story.
Feeds are checked every day. If a feed stops responding, we record it and tell readers on this page rather than publishing from memory.
